As street ministers:

We are committed to the whole truth of the scriptures of our
Lord, and accept that as it is "God-breathed", every word of it
applies to our lives, and it is our responsibility to apply our lives
to it.

We have accepted the commission to minister in the streets to
the children and the homeless. By feeding their bodies, minds
and hearts with real food and real truth, God is changing people's
lives. Theirs, and ours.

Real results are in evidence through the number of people who
are giving their lives to Jesus. Young men have publicly burned
their rags, (the gang colors they have worn for years) placing them
selves at risk from their former "families", who have nothing to
offer anyone but empty promises, and they are reaching toward
the all-fulfilling promises of God.

Anyone and everyone who claims the name of Jesus Christ is
expected by His father to go forth in that name and apply them
selves to the commission given by him. This is not, and was not
promised to be, an easy thing to do. Remember Jesus' words,
"take up your cross, and follow me"? Well, the times may have
changed, but the task before us is the same as it has always been.
When we learn to die to the world and live through Jesus, taking
all of our own will out of our walk, and giving control to the Lord
and the Holy Spirit, we will realize that with God's power this
world can be changed. God in us, working through us.

Expect to be uncomfortable, and in need of the Comforter that
Jesus said he was sending to us until the time of His return.

Expect to be rewarded and fulfilled.

Expect to be challenged and stretched.

Expect miracles.

Don't settle for less than the total realization of all of the
promises of God in your life.
